Playing with colors! FUN FUN!
Hello beautiful people,
Our family time yesterday without technology lasted almost three hours. We watched a movie :). Anyway, I was too exhausted to pull out the computer to write a post. I had a very long, fun, productive and fullfilling weekend. As many of you can tell from my FB, SC, or IG page. Tommorrow Russ and I will celebrate our first wedding anniversary! I'm very excited! We plan on having dinner at the restaurant we had our first date. hmmm might be a new family tradition :)
In any event, I hope you all have kicked off this new week with a bang! Feeling refreshed and reenergized to take on or continue those task you started last week. Remember everyday is a day to leave your indelible mark in this world. My mom always say, "J, we're just passing through". In other words, you'll pass through this life once. I believe in the after life. I believe there's a place being prepared by God for us, which will be our eternal home if we so choose that route.
Let's talk COLORS
Playing with colors is fun! Once, you know how to coordinate your colors without looking ridiculous you'll make a statement everywhere you go. A rule of thumb that I live by is, when in doubt reach for neutrals. Neutrals are those pieces of clothes that lack color such as black, white, beige and so forth. Spring has final sprung and maybe you're considering adding some color to your outfit but don't know how. Here's the basic to get you started:
Primary colors - " Any of a group of colors from which all other colors can be obtained by mixing' (Google, 2016). From elementary school we learn that the three primary colors are Red, blue and yellow
Complimentary colors - These are the colors opposite each other on the color wheel. They are fantastic if you want to do a little color blocking in your outfit. For instance pairing yellow and purple, red and green, or blue and orange and so forth. See previous blog for an example as well. The color wheel will show you the exact shades.
Analgous colors - These are colors next to each other on the color wheel. They are also great for pairing such as yellow and green, purple and blue and so on.
Colorblocking - This is a trend that has been around for a while and doesn't seem to be going anywhere anythime soon. Sometimes the bolder the better. You can use contrasting colors for color blocking such as yellow and blue or colors that blend well such as red and purple.
Now you have an idea of the basics in pulling off colors if you didn't already know. Now go out and SLAY! I've added some pics of me wearing a pop of color here or there :) Enjoy
Ps. I take a lot of bathroom selfie because I don't have a photographer :(...or I use my selfie stick :).
Ps. There's nothing wrong with pulling out your color wheel now and then :)
Blessings and love
